Release of the Raspberry-Pi Pico

Article by John Doe

It is finally come upon us, the Raspberry Pi Pico has released, for the low price of 20$, just a 10$ increase from the Raspberry Pi 4. The Pico is a microcontroller, which is a small computer that is used for controlling other devices.

The Pico is a very small computer, with a 133MHz processor, 264KB of RAM, and 2MB of flash memory. As far as software goes it requires almost no development at all! It was designed to be completely free based on Linux 3.0 (or later).

In fact this includes supporting both hardware acceleration using EFI bootloader(s) and kernel magic support such like MMC5 Secure Boot or SDXC NAND Flash emulation(SDDI & FASA), USB DAC decoding/decoding via nVidia Tegra U7 chip, Bluetooth OTG driver, GPS satellite receiver etc.. Other than these little things there are not many features offered by running "RTOS".

You can bet that I am going to immediately get my hands on one of these, and I will be sure to write a blog post about it too
